I have built a watefall chart and in Global > General I have ticked to Calculate and show the total. This gives what I want - my only issue is I want to rename this “Total” to be something else. I cannot see an option to do this anywhere. Where is it?

I haven’t used waterfall charts before and you don’t specify which version you’re on, but at least in 4.2 there are two buttons immediately underneath that check box that show up when you check calculate and show total that say Automatic Label and Custom Label. Click Custom Label and type in whatever you want the name to be for that field.
In my short time playing with it it seems like if you change things in filters on the chart it will reset to the automatic label, so you might want to keep an eye on it until development is finalized to make sure it doesn’t sneak the automatic label back in on you.

I’m using 4.1 SP6 and the options you mention in 4.2 don’t appear…winner!
