Hi,
I have cross tab based on year section the body have revenues,based on months
I need to calculate the difference of the current year revenue minus previous year revenue
pls check the attachment for sample.
pls guide on this.

Highlight both the year values on the crosstab and use the Data> Calculations > variance menu, it will add a column to calculate the variance between both years

Thanks for the quick reply,
as we have section on year when i select it selects all the years and when i go into the Data> Calculations > variance menu it doesn’t highlights.
the report data looks like :-
[2009] is on section
revenue required output
prod a 100 300-100 (i.e 2010reveunue - 2009 revenue)
prod b 200
prod c 300
[2010] is on section
revenue
prod a 300
prod b 400
prod c 500
pls reply If any is not clear.

The year object should be on the crosstab across and not as section for the variance to work

the actual data I am having on section is the weekid (ISOWEEKid)
there is the excel attached req.xls the highlighted (yellow)cloumn i need to give on the report.
