Using JMeter to measure load and functionality?

Is anyone using JMeter or any other load generator to simuluate load on the Infoview server? We’re interested in performing some benchmarks for various configuations and would welcome any suggestions or hints from others.

We are investigating both JMeter:

http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/ which gives us good control and recordkeeping but doesn’t do javascript (refresh/logout) well and

http://www.badboy.com.au/ which does give us good plans, but doesn’t allow fine control of threads, loops, etc. nor does it give us very good statistics.

Anyone doing this now?

I looked at JMeter some time back, but did not do enough major tests to comment.
BO used to have a QALoad script on techsupport that I copied off at one stage.
I’ve also used WinRunner on a network test project with BO i.e. test all possible bottlenecks - contact me if you want me to forward some docs re the above - i have some that explain what aspects you need to consider.
