I have a report built using an ODBC connection to our ERP system database. I need to include additional information that is only contained in a .csv file. The .csv file has records created automatically by a scale on our production floor to capture the unit’s weight.
The .csv file is comma delimited and contains no header row.
Is there a way to create a connection in Crystal for this scenario? When I try to create the table links, it treats the .csv as if there is only one data column since the file is in a delimited format and not in separate columns.
I have even saved my .csv after putting text to columns and adding header rows (just to see if the join can be made) and Crystal does not allow me to link my database table to the .csv. I click to “Start Link” but when I select the field I want to link to, the “End Link” option is grayed out.
Any help would be very appreciated.
