Users Woking on a particular Universe/Reports

Hi

I am using Boxi R2. I have a Universe and some reports in Prod. before I do any changes to Universe and reports, can I see if someone is using the universe or working on those reports.

We are not using any third party software like APOS. Is it possible in BO only.
can i query the CMS… if yes deos anyone knows the sql

You are making your changes directly in Production ? :shock:

No, We are moving the changes from test to prod… so before moving we need to know if someone is already working there or not.

This is something that you do not need to worry about, everything will be updated whether in use or not…

Hi

But What will happen if I update the Universe or a report and a User is woking on it.

Just to be safe if I know if someone is working, I can request the user to log out.

Well, if they are not making changes there will be no “problem”.

If they are and they shouldn’t they will be overwritten.

Thats why i wanted to know the way to see what all users are using the universe and reports. So that I do my updation when they log out.

Well, they shouldn’t be making changes in production, thats why you have different environments.

I have never seen the need to do this, whever I have been, also I don’t know a way you could do it, i.e. know what users are accessing the reports and universes that you are promoting, in this instance.
