use of parameter compare_contexts_with_joins

Can some one please explain me why this paramater is used for. Because I see a change in behaviour in prompting for contexts when the value of this is changed…

From the Designer help tool:

Values: Yes|No
Default: Yes
Description: Specifies how contexts are compared.
Yes: The system verifies that the contexts give the same joins.
No: The system verifies that the contexts give the same sets of tables.

Or were you after clarification of the help file?
