use BO6.1b and BO_XI R2 at same client computer

can i install both version at same client?
what can i do?
install BO-XI at first before install BO6.1b
or install BO6.1b and install BO_XI
who ever tried to installed and working?

yes u can… but earlier u could not install BO 5.1 and 6.5 on a same machine but with XI you can

You can, and 95% of the tools will work fine, but you may come accross anomalies like the one mentioned here https://bobj-board.org/t/127061

Perform client installation of BO v6 first. Then install BO XI. When doing the latter installation do not forget the following:

  • there is a step where you need to specify the destination folder. Be sure not to install BO XI into the same folder where you installed BO v6
  • there is a step where you will be asked “would you like to migrate your previous Desktop Intelligence settings?” - you need to select NO. This will keep your Bo v6 reports untouched.

The rest is just straightforward installation process.
