Upside down question marks

We are seeing upside down question marks in a field that do not appear in the database. We originally first experienced this issue when testing the report in version 6.5.1. When upgrading our full client environment from 5.1.6 to 5.1.8, the issue has also appeared. This is a critical problem as it affects personnel report.

could you be more precise about your “Upside down question marks”.

when it occurs exactly ? what is the question ? could you add a screen cap in attachment ?

I am attaching the report so that the problem would be clear.

Thanks in advance.

hi babbu,

how is the data stored in the database ? did you do a direct query on the database and check if you get the same results ?

The query at the database gives the correct values and the problem is only with the report.

Try to run the SQL query which is generated by BO in Free hand SQL. Then check if you are getting the same problem.

Is it a particular character got converted to" ¿ " Or randomly it got appeared ?

What is the desrciptiuon of the Dimension “”

Is it only nulls being changed to ¿'s? Only 0’s?

Check Number Format in the cell formatting to see if ¿ is being used at all.

Hi,

Same issue here. Thought the universe is internationalized to the dutch, we are getting inverted question mark in the report for the non-english dutch characters.

Please let me know how to do this without changing the DB schema.
