Does anyone know how to update the object descriptions automatically from an excel input onto information design tool rather than typing each description manually?

Have a look in the BOB’s Downloads section - that’s where those sort of utilities are kept 
The Universe SDK for IDT universes (UNX) is very recent and only supports Java.
Someone will get around to writing one soon I guess, but there’s nothing available yet as far as I know.
