Upgrade from XIR2 to XI 3.0, CMC starts ok but not Tomcat

Hi All,

During the upgrade to XI 3.0, I selected to install the new Tomcat service which comes with the installation. But the Tomcat is not starting, below is the jakarta_service log file

When I manually run the tomcat5.exe, it returns the following error message

Did you resolve this?

Hi
Have you checked that to tomcat files exist in the stated directory.
In the ‘Services’ tomcat was still there but wouldn’t start, and then when installing BOXi30, it didn’t give me to option to re install tomcat.
I had this happen and had to remove all mention of tomacat in the registry, and get BOXi and tomcat to re-install. It was fine after that.

I actually found the java tab of the Tomcat service had been screwed up. I copied the text from a working server and it started right up. Unfortunately, this was after a complete reinstall that didnt do anything. The install package should definately be modified to remove tomcat (if installed from BO software) and/or repair the tomcat portion of the install.
