Upgrade from Oracle 9i to 10g - Impact on Crystal Reports 10

Hi All,

We are currently using Oracle 9i and crystal reports 10. We are in the process of upgrading to Oracle 10g. The Connection type used is OLE DB. Will there be any performance issues with the reports after the upgrade.

Hi,

U mean to say, it depends on the procedure we are calling to the crystal report? Other than the procedure, does it have any impact thro’ crystal?

Database specifics, it depends.

How you built the report (procs, views, tables).
Whether you use DB specific functions, user defined functions etc.
How the reports connect to the database (i.e. in the upgrade the db client will may need upgrading, and\or OLEDB or ODBC drivers need updating etc.

Quite a few things really.
