As long as you are really talking about the legacy versions of WebI 1.x/2.x, which correspond to legacy versions of BusinesObjects 4.x/5.x – then you’d use desktop Supervisor to recreate the BOMain.key file (via a “Safe Recovery”), and you’d put the BOMain.key file into the correct subfolder on your WebI server.
You’d also have to redistribute the BOMain.key file to anyone who had desktop(non-ZABO) installations.
I am being told that only host name is going to change and SID of the TNS entry will remain same, so it is not required to create a new bomain key.Only the host name of the TNS entry will be updated in the web server.From thick client I am able to connect to the repository with the new host name and old bomain key.
