Updating Xcelsius 2008 Engage to most recent service pack

Hello.

I’m extremely confused :? and would appreciate any guidance on upgrading Xcelsius 2008 Engage to the most recent version.
I bought the software June of 2008 and paid for one year maintenance, at minimum I should have access to SP2.

I have the base 2008 version installed (Version 5.0.0.99 Build 12,0,0,121) and all attempts to update as follow fail:

  • running the recent 2008 Enterprise sp3 fails (asks for the xcelsius.msi of sp1)
  • running any of the sp1 fix packs (1, 2 or 3) fail due to incompatibility (upgrade path error in Windows installer).
  • the plain 2008 SP1 cannot be found anywhere (found references to it as follows - cx2008_sp1.zip - but the download itself is not available anywhere, specifically not on the official SAP site).

Appreciate your help. :hb: Already spent too much time downloading and trying out all these bloated SPs and fix packs.

Thanks,
Adi

Have you seen the install guide for SP3 (loading... | SAP Help Portal) ? It mentions the msi problem:

Maybe this (or the other tips in that doc) can help?

I have installed the SP3 version on its own with no problems, but it didnt have any BO products previously installed on that machine, so that is a lot easier.

Thanks. Cleanup of the registry as the MS article suggests does the trick.
