Update from BO 4.2 SP3 to SP7 Patch5

Hi,

I need some help on BO update task. I am planning to update to BO 4.2 SP7 from BO4.2 SP3, after update do I need to uninstall SP3.

Or one installer will take care of uninstall.

second question

there is step in KB notes to stop server before install

Make sure to STOP ALL servers Except essential servers: CMS, FRS (input/output),Tomcat (or other App server)

Do I need to stop all the servers from CMC and for Tomcat which server ?

The installer will NOT uninstall prior versions – you’ll have to do so after the install completes.

You can use CMC or CCM to stop BO services.

For what it’s worth, that that step isn’t absolutely necessary. It just ensures that BO isn’t doing something important (like processing a scheduled job) when you run the installer.
