Hi everyone,
We have recently purchased Xcelsius 2008 but we do not have interactive viewer licences. I want to be able to create a dashboard that gets update once a night, is there any way to do this without having these viewer licences, as i take it i can’t use Live office or qaaws?

As far as I know, you do not need a viewer license as long as you are not connected to any BO Universes/environment.
Meaning you should be able to connect to a database via web service or xml/aspx script and not need a viewer liscense.

We are connecting to a bo environment i.e. the user will logon to infoview and be able to select the dashboard, i assume this is ok because the dashboard is static and is not being refreshed. What i am looking to find out is if there is anyway to update my dashboard ‘on the fly’.

As Greg says, if you’re not using live office or qaaws, you’re looking at webservices and xml/aspx scripting.
It’s all possible. Just fiddly!

Could you possibly point me in the right direction of where to start with this please.
Should i create my xcelsius with an xml connection, then export it to business objects then write some sort of script which then recompiles the swf file or creates a new one? How do i link the xcelsius to web services?
