Universe was deleted from CMS

I am using Business Objects XI Release 2 and someone deleted my universe from CMS. Now when I try to open the local file I get the FRM00008 error. I was hoping I could just recover it from my local file. How do I recover my universe?

Check the universe availability from other machines also.If it is there then you can access that by exporting to repository.

Unless you have done a “save as” on the local universe, you will be prevented from opening it. There is a work-around here:

I am just looking for more detail on the process quoted above. It looks like it worked for somebody. Thanks… The CMS repository has two portions … a database and a filesystem. The database stores the security information and also has a pointer to the filesystem where the universe is actually stored.
