Universe row restriction for 600 tables

Hi,

I am looking for advice.

I would need to apply universe level Rows restriction for a lot of tables.

The list of tables includes 600 tables for which we need to add the limitation. We have DEV, QA and PROD version of the universe and we can’t import the whole universe, so it actually represents 1800 Rows restrictions for 1 universe.

I guess it would take a week of continuous manual work.

Is there a better way other than doing this as manual setting of Access restriction for a group and specifying Rows restriction for 1800 tables?

The universe is incredibly big so trying to apply the limitation on the object/joins level is even worse.

I know that ideally that big change should be resolved in the ETL level, but it’s not and I don’t have chance to influence.

We are using BOXI R2.

I think you need to explain what type of restriction you are trying to achieve.
Having said that, a couple of options you may or may not have looked:
Apply a filter at the class or universe level;
Create a self-restricting join on the tables in question.
If you have to do the manual effort, I would suggest looking into a macro keyboard software that replicates your keystrokes.
There was no way to copy access restrictions the last time I did something like this.
