Hi,
We have developed one universe, 15 reports, groups, folders and set up security structure in Development environment. We did successful migration to Prod also. This was called Phase 1. After that in Phase 2 we added some more tables and objects to universe and added object level, table mapping, row level security in universe by creating restriction set(tools->Manage security). We applied this restriction set to two groups. We also created some new reports. Once we completed Phase 2 development we migrated updated universe and new reports to Prod (we migrated universe and reports only in phase 2 because we did not add any new groups and folders in CMC). After second migration when I checked production universe, I don’t see any restriction set. I can see all new objects, tables, etc even new and old reports are also working fine. Why BO didn’t migrate restriction set with universe? Only reason I thought may be because I didn;t migrate groups with universe because restriction set is applied to groups. Please note that these groups also available in Production.
