Universe is not switching connections

Hi ALL
We have 5 universes say A ,b,c,d,e.
‘A’ is the main universe all other b,c,d,e are extracted from ‘A’.They are different only at connection level (Connection restrict some accounts and some claims)
For ‘b’ universe ‘b’ is the connection it has only ‘b’ accounts and claims and same for all.
Now I want to make a single universe as it is only different in connection(Tables Joins are all the same)For that I used “Manage Security” for the universe I used ‘A’ DataBase connection and in manage security i did by group and user level and created a new connections ‘b’,‘c’,‘d’,‘e’ and applied Object restrictions to block some objects.
When I log in as ‘b’ to see if it has b’s connections and accounts i can see all accounts ,that means its only accepting ‘A’ connection its not switching to ‘b’ internal connection.
Is there any way to so this…Please let me know.

Thanks a lot,
Madhu.

Thank you so much for immediate reply,i did that ,here are the steps
In BOXIR2 you can add an access restriction which changes the connection details based on which group a user is in

Click on the “Create, Modify or delete, or apply access restictions” icon
Click “New” to add a new restiction.

This will take you to a screen very similar to the properties page. In here you can assign a different Connection.

Then attach that access restriction to a group, and there you have it.

Different connection based on different user groups.
But when i log in as that group i can see all account numbers ,but im supposed to see only 1 account of that group ,i set a seperate connection for that group and also i applied object restriction, the objects which i restricted im not able to see ,but when i pull account im getting all account numbers.
Im confused please help me out.
Thanks,
Madhu.

Make sure that when you log into the CMC and setting the access restrictions up that you’re logged in with the original administrator id and not just another admin id (which does not have the same rights).
Which SP you are on for XIr2?

I did not do any changes in CMC now, before only every group is set the security to access their universe, so im adding the same group .
For suppose Group b is permitted to see ‘b’ universe so I opend the main ‘A’ universe (it has ‘A’ connection which can see all accounts) then in access restriction added connection ‘b’ and I assigned it to group’b’
That means the main connection in properties will be ‘A’ connection but if I log in in webi as group’b’ i have to see only b’s accounts.
Im using XIR2 SP5 Oracle9i

Thanks,
Madhu.
