i 've to reorganize the universes of my company.
Now every department has his own universe which, of course, has a lot classes similar or equal to classes in other universe.
i want to create 2 level of universes:
simple universes based on one or a few facts and their dimension,
universe for each department in which insert the simple universes as needed.
When you say insert the universes do you mean just copy all the objects and tables from one universe to another? I’d say the first thing I’d worry about is maintenance and trying to keep up with every change.
I’ve not had a lot of good experiences with linking universes, but really haven’t done much with it since the old 6.5 days so I don’t know how well linked universes work with Crystal or if there are any issues with it.
