Universe design

Hello,
We are planning our implementation of BO and are trying to decide what strategy to use when creating universes. We are considering one core universe (all encompassing) and then creating 6-12 derived universes from it. We would hide the classes and objects that we don’t want to be seen in the derived universes. Has anyone ever done this? Does anyone know of any problems we may encounter doing it this way? I am concerned that the classes created at a “generic” level may not be suitable for smaller more specific universes.

We are using this approach with good success. It provides a common point for all universe documentation and Class/Object descriptions. You can always add additional classes/objects to the generic universes, if required, to handle specific cases.
