While I tried to create a Derived Table on a UNV report, I recieve the error at screenshot.
I solved the problem with changing name of the .lsi file to add “.old” at the end of it.
directory:
C:\Users<User account>\AppData\Roaming\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\lsi
But, my colleage pc does not create the file with the server name on it. we only observe the standart .lis files at the location and still get the error UNV0018.
Does anyone faced with the same issue ? Here our version of UDT;

I must say I have already forgot many of these issues and fixes.
AFAIK - in case of problems we usually deleted all the .lsi files except pdac and sdac (these contain private and shared connections).
then I would check if the CMC-Servers are up and running
if there are firewalls if client PC can reach CMS port, cms named port, IFRS, OFRS, connection servers and WIPS = I mean some of the components/fat apps need them but I cant really remember which need what…
also the UDT needs to have a direct connection to database but in this case the error message would be different…
