Universe Design Documentation

Gurus,
I am looking for any sample universe design documentation, if someone can provide me. Its first time for me to create a unverse from scratch. So i am trying to gather all informtaion before creating universe. Any sample universe creation documentation will be good for me. Gurus please help.

Welcome to B:bob:B!

You’ll never learn everything you need to know about building a good universe from a single document. I would suggest taking the Universe Design class from Business Objects, as a start. Also, read through the Designer FAQ here on BOB. There’s a lot to be learned there.

Most of what you need comes from experience. Get someone with a lot of experience invlolved in your first universe. That will make a huge difference.

Thanks for the reply, I am already working with BO and i also have been involved in Universe creation before, but it was like i was given a tech doc and i had to create classes, objects and joins as per. Bu this time i have to do everything by myself, so was jsut wandering if something can help me. Meaning if i cna know what a xyz company will have universe structure and all.
Please get me some details if you can.

The eFashion and Xtreme sample universe should help you to start with.
These come with the Installation.

Actually, Universe Template changed based on organization, you can create based on you’re HLD (High Level documation).
