I have several installations of BO XI, all with crystal XI. I am able to have the Universe connection show up only on the installations where I have also installed BO XI enterprise including Designer. In other words, I have a client install of only Crystal XI, and I am unable to connect (because the connection doesn’t exist) to the universe connection to build a report from a universe.
I guess my question is this, does Designer have to be installed along with Crystal for the universe connection to show up in the ‘new connections’ wizard? I have installed a patch that was supposed to address this problem, and it didn’t work. Universe still does not show up in the list of new connections.
