unable to schedule

When I refresh a Crystal report manually, it asks me to enter database credentials…I do that and it runs fine.
But when I schedule with same credentials, it fails. It says, error in File ~tmp1d.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 1017 ]
I am scheduling using CMC. I am on BOXI 3.1

When I right click on the report and select database configuration, I noticed the password is missing, so when I enter password it always gets cleared. For some reason, the password is getting cleared.
I have tried creating Oledb and ODBC for Oracle connection but it has not helped schedule successfully.

The credentials are fine.

goto CMC, update the database details in db properties of the report and then schedule it. it should work fine.

I do not see the database properties link anywhere. where is it? Do I have to right click select default?
When I refresh the report, it asks me for the user id and password - when I fill it and hit run - it runs fine. I want it to automatically take the user id and password when I refresh in CMC or Infoview and just prompt me for the prompt.
When I schedule it says - logon parameters are incorrect and schedule fails.

Hi,

Go to CMC–>Folder—>Report(object)—>click on this report you will see its properties in that there will be a link called database click on it and give the appropriate credentials and save.

It will work.

I am on BO XI 3.1 and do not see it but I will check again. Is it called database properties? Are you talking of default configuration?

Actualy this is you object property(report property).
when you click on report you will see one more page in which you will see few tabs in that click on process under that you will see few links inwhich one will be database, select that and enter the database credentials of the data base to which you are connecting to fetch the data for this report.

I hope i explained it in detail.try this and reply.

Cheers,

What ver are you using Judia?

For Example:

CMC ver 10, you have to make sure that the Database log on tab for password prompt is unchecked.

CMC Xi, you have to make sure that you choose “Use same database logon as when report is run” is checked and then update.

I found this post because I am having the same problem. I have several hundred reports written and scheduled this same way - exactly how described in this post, however, about 6 of my scheduled reports are still not working. Manually using the same passwords, they run fine. Scheduled using those passwords and they fail for incorrect log on parameters. Any other advice?
