I have been working with 20+ KPIs, using multiple tabset containers,
My Dashboard version is SAP Business Objects Dashboards 4.1 Support Pack 1 Patch 6, version 14.1.1.1203
I have been saving my files as a new file every so often to avoid loosing my progress because issues with the excel integration, having many versions.
-But there seem to be a differnt type of file corruption in the dashboard to do with the components in the canvas, and that is not easy to detect until its too late. I have no way of going back but recreating a new file.
-
the issue happens when I select a component from the object browser, it loads the properties on my workspace, everything else works and looks fine until I put the mouse over the components, it then starts to think for a while without letting me select anything else until it responds again. and once it does responds again, all the components seem to be showing at the same time.
the tabset container tabs seem to go partialy transparent and the resize dots are not selectable.
I can move the component if I blindly click on the right place if the component is on the top, however, I am unable to resize anything in it, or select to alter its place. -
I read somewhere that someone has resolved this by adding another component, but I have tried this and its not making any difference.
-
when openning the file, the components look ok, but any attempt to select it in the canvas itself will trigger this issue and am no longer able to work on the visuals components, other than using the x and y positions on some components, but not resizing.
eitherway, you can only see the result in the preview or exporting, but not on the workspace.
If I create a new file, the problem is not there, so I am unsure if this could be my own installation as I have already reinstalled all software, including Office 10,
I am using Windows 7
anyone has any idea, or posible workaround, its driving me insane and unable to complete my project that should not take me more then 7 hours of work.
