Thanks for responding …I was able to resolve the issue and able to connect to the database(SQL server)…Now,the report runs fine but I am unable to see the data on the report…I am not able to figure this out… Any thoughts?
In my case I was on a network that did not utalize WINS for resolving host names to IP address. The connection defined for the business view prompt was setup to utalize the short name (SERVERNAME) and not the FQDN (SERVERNAME.DOMAIN.COM). I simply added a Hosts file entry to map the short name (defined in the connection) to the approperate IP address. I am sure other network issues could also cause a simular issue.
