Hey everyone
I am trying to make a very simple link with a label and HTML formatting.
My cell contains :
="<a href="""&“http://www.google.fr”&""">button"
This is not working, I click but nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong ?
I do not want to use URL button.
Thank you for your help

hi there!
i think label text wont work since it is not clickable, try using other objects such as input text area.

I already did this on another project (another version of Xcelsius and BO) so I know it can work.
Plus it is written in the documentation that a href can be used with label and HTML formatting, even if label is not a clickable object (HTML formatting is here to make that possible…)
Thank you

thank you for that statement! it would be satisfying if it works on a label text.

Titlola,
this is the correct format: button
without any = before and other formulas stuff.
Just insert that in a cell and enable the html format for the text label.
I’ve just tried it just to be sure and it works.
Hope this helps,

Hi R.A.,
I’m using Xcelsius 2008 SP2 FP1. It should work also with the old version by the way. Let me know if you can make it working otherwise I will think about another solution.

I have a workaround that I use for this:
-make url button. format it with no borders, disable button background
type a space or two in the label property
-The button should be invisible.
-config the link address
-Resize the button to fit over a label, image or whatever
-make sure the button is on the layer above the label/image

hi there!
thanks for the upload. your .swf works fine. and with the xcelsius file, it works at first time i click it, but the second time i click it, it won’t work anymore. and one more thing i created the same thing as you did but it doesn’t work… really weird… maybe if i need this i’ll just create a workaround.
thank you,

Did you install the FP1 for Xcelsius SP2???
By the way my configuration is:
Windows XP
Office 2003
last version Flash
Should we find a workaround ;-)?
Hope this helps,
