Unable to edit crystal reports from Infoview

Hi all,

we’ve installed BOXI R3 in a test environment - everything looks cool (SSO etc.) . But now i missed the RAS functionality to create or edit crystal reports from Infoview.
(ReportApplicationService is installed and running/activated)

I’ve searched the CMC (Permissions and so on) , SAP Knowledgebases and this Board without success.

Could it be that this feature was removed in R3 - or i am complete blind :frowning:

Many thanks in advance

Regards Sven

What license do you have?
You either get ALL products - Premium i think it’s called - or the basic enterprise license where you have to select either the BO or the Crystal stack.

Hi Mike,

thanks for your reply.

Yes, it’s the Premium Edition of BOXI R3 - I mean (please correct me if it’s a illusion) that in this edition the feature is licenced.

How do you expect to create Crystal Reports from Infoview? You create Crystal report using Crystal client and export/publish it to Infoview.

This place went for the BO route so it’s hard to emulate - but yes, Crystal was discussed in the licensing meet with the vendor so it should be supported.

Have you run that post install health check application?
Or had a look in the CMC under Applications to see what modules are listed?

hi Mike,

the Deployment Diagnostic Tool fails at step “Crystal Reports Functionality”

Here an extract from the xml logfile:

TestClass>CrystalReportsTier
7
Crystal Reports Tier
Tests Crystal Reports Functionality
fail
Failed to add tables to test report from XML source. Scheduling Crystal Report failed. --Document: " Diagnostic CR Document Test" not found. null

Each other diagnostic step runs successfully.

Any other ideas ?

Regards Sven

Then you have not successfully installed the Crystal component - check your install log files to look for probably causes.
