Unable to create BOMain.key

hi,

We are using business objects 5.1 client on windows 7, in our company.
We are moving the business objects 5.1 environment from sybase 11 to sybase 12 on another server.

The dba has copied the BO PROD environment on the the new server for testing. I am trying to create a new bomain.key but keep getting an error
"No Security Domain exists for this connection (ADW 0010).

i have pinged the server with sysping and it is responding, there are 52 bo tables like in prod. I have read an earlier blog in bobj and it mentions “disable bo repository by using time stamp” . How can i do this for test environment ?

Can someone advise why i am not able to create a new bomain.key?

wow… are you still using BO 5.1?

Yes we are still on BO 5.1. older than 6.5.

Hi all,

Finally we were able to create the BOMain.key. The issue was that i had not deleted the bomain.key and .lsi files from the folder locdata on the test server. After deleting this i did not get any error message and successfully created the key.

I made the changes in supervisor for Universe and Document Domains. I see a new tab on supervisor that lets me select the old or new bomain.key.
