Unable to create biar file

Hi All,

I am not able to create biar from my QA box.It worked well till 2 days back ,but now while creating a biar file its creating some log file instead of biar and when I open the log file its empty.

It also showing 0 of 10 Unv and 0 of 30 reports imported.

I am using BOXIR3.0.

Could you please tell me where is the problem.

Does the dialogue show yellow exclaimation marks against any of the objects you are exporting. There is a details button, I think, which allows you to check out the status of each object you are exporting. You only get a sentence of text but it may be enough to point you in the correct direction.

Red cross mark is coming on all objects when I view details.

Is there any solution for this problem other than re Install of BO in the box.

Hi,
As the log file details that 0 of 10 Unv and 0 of 30 reports imported, this can be a problem with rights.
You must have rights to Create Universe folder and Report folder. If these rights are not granted, there are possibilities that you cannot make a BIAR copy of the universes and reports.

Hi Anant,
This might be a problem with Import Wizard. Another option can be “Biar Command Line tool” to generate the bair file.

Are you not using the Administrator ID for the Import Wizard?

Goodday,

I import a Biar file but it does not reflect to the repository, I tried exporting different reports and imported it again and they worked well.

Question is does a report affect the generation of Biar files?
