Unable fetch data from CSV file In WEBI Report

Hello All,

I got a report requirement where I need to create a report from CSV file and combine with existing wEBI report . For this I have created a universe which will connect to the CSV file which is located in network drive. I have created a Z: Drive (Map drive) and created DSN. Universe is successfully created,when I click on TABLE VALUES , it is getting data from CSV file.

Now I am trying built a new report . From DESKI, I am able to fetch the data from CSV Universe with out any problem . But from WEBI, I am getting this below error.

Database error: [Microsoft][ODBC Text Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object ‘hostbaldj.csv’. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly… Contact your Business Objects administrator or database supplier for more information. (Error: WIS 10901)

I have noticed that when I place the CSV file in the local drive of the server , WEBI report is able refresh the data. But when I place the CSV file in network drive , I am getting the above error message.

Can anyone please suggest, Do I need to do any setting for this, so that the report can refresh without any problem.

Did you try to create the same DSN on server side also?

Use a UNC path to specify the location of the file, and make sure that the Windows ID that is running the WebIReportServer is a domain ID, and has appropriate rights to the file share.
