Two Universes with same name ...

Hi,

When i go to Tools->Universes i am able to see two universes with same name…

One universe repository is pointing to a ‘.’ [This one does not exist ]

and other to a repository to which i have published …

Because of this the universe ids might be different …when the reports are retreived from corporate documents and refreshed …its by default pointing to the first universe in that order… and the formulas get messed up…

Thanks,

Chaitanya

Hi,

one universe is the version stored in your local machine and the other one is the universe in the BO repository.

You are better of reading this document related to the “mysteries of the universe”.

HI,

Universe pointing to ‘.’ are your local universes. others are poitning to the repository.

Thanks,

The smart thing to do is to delete all universes on your machine, then BO will import the correct versions from the repository.

You may have the universe in more than one sub-folder. Maybe Mysteries of the Universe from the Bob’s Downloads might help you to understand what’s going on.

But you may still find it easier to just follow Steve Krandel’s advice, to get on your way quicker.

My understanding is :
You are seeing the same univesre in two different domains(not repositories).
please let us know the status.

Thanks
