Trusted Authentication for CMC Web app

Hi,
We have set up Infoview for Trusted Authentication, by making entries into the CMC, settingup secret password and changing the web.xml file as specified in the Admin guide.

But now we want the CMC web application (also hosted on the same Tomcat server) to use trusted authentication. But we are unable to find a place holder for the properties.

We went ahead and added them anyway. But it does not allow one to logon with trusted authentication. Can you pls suggest how to change the web.xml of CMC ?

trusted.auth.user.retrieval HTTP_HEADER trusted.auth.user.param SM_UNIVERSALID

We got a reply from Business Objects that Trusted authentication would not work for CMC.

Did you manage to resolve this issue, I am currently trying to tackle this problem, SAP have advise us to use siteminder to enable sso for cmc?
any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you need to use Siteminder in order to impliment SSO to CMC. :mrgreen:

Hi Nicholas,

Have you implemented SSO to the CMC using Siteminder? were you successful? what version of Siteminder and Business Objects did you use? SAP tech support haven’t been very helpfully other than
confirming to use Siteminder for Infoview, the CMC is untested?
