Win 2008 R2/ xi3.1 sp3/oracle 11.1g
i have never had so much trouble with an install like this one.
I did the install with both .net and java (i have done this before sucessfully) and the cms wouldnt start during the install.
I skipped the cms and let the rest of the install finish and the sia did not show up in the cmc. when i tried to add it nothing would happen.
I found an article that said to drop all the cms tables and then add a new sia. that worked. but then i couldnt access the cmc or infoview even though the sia and the cms were both running in the task manager.
i redeployed all the tomcat files and then finally i was able to log onto the cmc.
i started adding the necessary servers, they would start but would not enable.
i was feeling good with the progress so i deceided to give the cms a new name and add the auditing db.
everything is broken again.
for a java screen:
Error: Server :6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
for a .net screen:
HTTP Error 403.18 - Forbidden
The specified request cannot be processed in the application pool that is configured for this resource on the Web server.
and if i try to log on enough, it will try to log on, say clean up in progress and then give me this message:
Logon denied: Your system does not allow the use of this application
i can log into the diagnostic tool and run the tests. Then apparently i can logon to the cmc??? WHAT??? WHY??? THis makes no sense.
Seriously WTF??? Please help me.
OK so once i was a bit more patient, I noticed that if i allowed a 5 minute window of time after restarting the servers the error messages went away for java. it seems as though java take a bit of time to catch up and feed in the new information. then i can log on without any weird error messages.
