Trigger BW Process Chain from BODS?

Hi all,

We have a need to coordinate processing done on both our DS and BW systems. The DS work is done first, and once that is completed the BW work can begin.

I have been trying to find a way to have DS call BW to trigger the execution of a process chain. Currently, we have managed by leaving a large time gap so when the BW schedule triggers the data is ready 99% of the time.

I would like to tighten it up as the 1% when this doesn’t work takes some work to clean up, and also we are needlessly wasting time for this safety gap the rest of the time.

We are running BW 701, and DS 4.2
