In aid of making funky BI Widgets for use with R3, does anyone know if its possible to make a Xcelcius canvas transparent, cant find an option anywhere.

Still no one ? Documentation says background (=canvas) is transparent by default, but it seems it’s not.
I opened a BO case to ask a few questions about widgets. If I have an answer about this issue I’ll tell you then.

Hi,
Are you trying to see this transparency before you use the dashboard for creating your widgets ? Or are you having transparency issues once you run your widgets ?
When you load an Xcelsius generated SWF into BI Widgest, the existing white canvas background is removed by BI Widgets. The result is that the whitespace in your Xcelsius visualization will remain transparent.
I have not yet tested this in XIR3 myself, but remember this working fine when I was using XIR2 earlier.

In my case, I have a blank background when the widget is on the desktop. BI Widgets does not seem to remove the blank background as it is written in the user manual.
