Tracking changes on scheduled document emailed as pdf/excel

I’ve managed to get my head around tracking changes in BI 4.0

Seems like a very useful function.

When I schedule a report to run as a WebI document to the default enterprise location it works fine and shows the changes from the last instance.

However, I’ve had user request from an external customer to receive the changes on a pdf or excel document, and cannot get the produced excel or pdf to show the changes.
:hb:

Is this functionality not available in BI 4.0, or am I missing something?

No, this is expected behaviour, unfortunately.

Possible idea here:-

Thanks for that suggestion. I’d skimmed that article and missed the workaround.

It’s an optional request that I’m looking to accommodate, but not at the expense of it needing any manual intervention.

Thanks anyway.

Data tracking, nice feature, but superflous if you have a data warehouse, where you can use standard queries and alerts for similar functionaility.

Also, I have seen this question asked a number of times with regards to scheduling, but could only find this one post.
