Top N - Crystal Reports for Enterprise v14

I have created a report using Crystal Reports for Enterprise. I need to have a parameter that will determine how many rows are returned. 10, 100, 1000, etc. I thought I could use the TopN option along with my numeric parameter field, but am not finding it in CRE. Help!

To use the TOP N feature, you have to group the report (by what you want the top n of).

It seems TopN limits the number of records displayed on the report, not brought back from the database. (I was able to add a group and specify a TopN). Anyway to limit the number of records read from the database, without using a command, in crystal reports for enterprise???

I do not know what your data source for the report is (Universe, HANA, ODBC, etc.). Thus that can make a difference how we can (or cannot) reduce the number of records from a data source.

The datasource is a HANA view.

Unfortunately I know little about HANA, so I cannot provide a solution.
