I have a question regarding the .tmp files that are stored within the INPUT directory in the FRS. We have rather a lot of them and they are taking up a large amount of space (so much so that we are now running short). Can anybody tell me what these are and whether I can delete them please ? NB they are NOT the files stored in the Temp bit of the FRS - these are in the standard folders.
It depends… you shouldn’t see or delete files in the filestore because it is the CMS business and you run the risk to corrupt your system. Inthe other hand, are you sure this tmp files are generated by BOE system ? (maybe thee is somewhere a TEMP = c:<your filestore path> but it is doubtfull…
These are definitely files created by the BOE system as nothing else runs on the server. It just seems odd that there are all these tmp files hanging around and taking more space than the ‘registered’ files. And I am being pushed to ‘clean up’ the disk as we are short of space.
I forgot to say that I am running BOXI 3.1 if thats any help
