Thoughts about ODBC

We are currently setting up a BO XI 3.1 environment.
We offer DeskI and Designer as a Citrix application.

Our designers want to create ODBC-connections to private Access databases, just for testing purposes. It is not clear to me how this can be done, by themselves, because they don’t have direct access to the Citrix servers.

You will have to request the Citrix team to create ODBCs. But, I dont understand, why use access at all? You can use a test SQL Server DB or any other DBs. But then again this is how I think.

I was afraid so. (Citrix team, that is partly me :slight_smile: )

I suppose that is true. I’ll ask the person who requested this if a SQL Server account would do as well.
