I am getting following error, when I changed the request port from CMC and trying to restart in QA environment

“This server is considered failed because it has stopped 5 time(s) in 60 minute(s).”

I didn’t start the servers 5 times in 60 minutes, it is somewhat misleading error.

I did the same way in Development environment, and everything was find in DEV.

Here is our environment details:

BOE XI 3.1 SP2 FP 2.5
AIX Opertating System
CMS: Oracle 10g

Please let me know anyone of you encountered similar kind of error?, and how did you resolve it.

It’s not misleading - the system will automatically try and resolve services that shut down by restarting them - as to the port change - make sure you have bound your host or IP as well.

We have both XI R2 and XI 3.1 on same server, and there was a requestport conflict between two installations, once I fixed the port conflict everything is working fine.
