Has anybody used thin client Deski in XIR2 SP4? We can use thin client by selecting J2EE portal in the System name. Are there any disadvantages of using thin client?
Advantages: bypassing installation of database client.

a small correction, Installing database client at the local machine.
But can you please tell us what is the reason behind you are looking for.
It will be great if you specify the reason for this advantages or disadvantages else Bobers may think this is an interview question.

We are looking to introduce thin clients to developers so that we can bypass DB client installation on local machines.
