We have gone from tomcat55 to .NET with a complete reinstall, not a problem(?)
However, when we try to logon the infoview, we get a security popup stating “…secure and non secure content…” and if we select Yes, we get “The webpage cannot be displayed”? This has never happen before.
We also just received new PC’s with VISTA.
I’m thinking theremight be some latent tomcat/jakarta leftover? maybe a VISTA security plug?
I also have two application pools within IIS, I should only have one?
Finally, after I select Yes from the secure/non secure popup, the add’l info tells me that “…https” is not recognized and I see where the url is actually having three (3) … added to it?
However, seems like an issue withIIS with the APP Pools… I can’t delete them?! I get message stating I need to repoint applications, but there already deleted???
Hi BOBUJ,
I’m afraid couldn’t say on the IIS config issue but if there are leftover remnants of the previous install this could cause all sorts of issues.
Generally after control panel uninstall you should delete the business objects directory from wherever you installed it and in the windows registry, delete the business objects hives from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE.
Also, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Controlset(001/002/003), there is a services hive (under each one) which often contains references to the old BO services, Tomcat usually being one of them.
Sorry I can’t be of more help than that but if you do end up doing another reinstall it’s worth bearing this in mind.
Andy.
Interesting point is that when you logon, system prompts you with a web content page securityscreen (yes or no or more info) - yes, you get a page not found, No, you get a retype address and by selecting more info, you get a windows file association error
