This is a very common issue that we face with BO 6.5. While editing the webi report in Java report panel and saving, it takes ages and freezes. I really want to understand that without restarting the services, can we help resolve it?
What could be root cause of the issue. I believe if java could the problem , how we can avoid to happen in future?
Will java re-installation solve the problem?

Is it happening with one or few specific reports, do they have prompts which doesnt come up
Have you checked the resources used on BO server, is it showing high CPU & memory usage

Hi Haider, the CPU and memory usage is not high but fair enough.
It happens with normally all reports but they are intermittent. We would usually restart all the services/reboot the server to clear the issue, but it becomes a more frequent issue that is more worrying. Is anything BO experts can provide the root cause? Can you also kindly help to find the exacts location for logs file. I would go for tomcat folder to invetigate.
