The database client cannot connect to named pipe

I have seen this error throughout the forum but have seen any resolutions for it. I have gotten this error 2 nights in a row when the job is scheduled but do not get it when I manually run the job. I removed the Embedded dataflow and recreated the extraction as a regular DF and it worked fine when scheduled. Seems to be a real problem when using EDF’s or “Run as a separate process”. Target database is Oracle 10G

Has anyone received help from BO on this or have a viable solution?

Hi , I am running Rapid Mart Inventory for SAP.
I too am facing this "database client cannot connect to named pipe " error for DF_MaterialMvmtFact_SAP dataflow in Inventory Rapid Mart .

I modified it by placing the contents of the embedded dataflow withhin the normal dataflow . But still the error came .

And the dataflow takes a very long time . Till now I have not seen it complete even after running for 3 days . The tables used in join query in the abapflow contained in the dataflow have 6 and 12 million records respectively in SAP .

What is your suggesstion ? What should be done to avoid the above error and improve performance .

I have attached the error log and atl file here .
