Take BOCP Examination

I am new to Business Objects and I would like to take BOCP examination for all the three levels.

My question is do we need any practical experience in order to go through these examinations in a much easier way.

Pl. do suggest me.

Enter the single word "certification" and you'll get around 20 result topics, all of which have various disussions about the current implementation (or lack thereof) of BusinessObjects certification. Although why you’d like to take an exam with no practical experience is beyond me.
