Support from Business Objects

I heard a rumour that with the newest versions of Business Objects coming out older versions will no longer be supported.

If this is true what versions are affected and I am particularly interested in V 5.1.2.

Also does anyone know the cost of upgrading to latest version, we have 250+ users of BOb of which we have half a dozen designers/administrators.

Should be part of your maintenance contract…

Even before BO v6 came out, if you encountered any problems that were remedied with a later SP such as BO v5.1.7 BO tech support would ask you to upgrade to that Service Pack anyway in my experience.

Support for BO v5 should be around 2 more years I would guess, but if you do a search on BOB there was a thread regarding this.
