I moved a user from one group to another in Supervisor. I could see that her access had changed to match the new group that she was in. However, when she logged in to Webi, she could only see the documents that were available to her old group. I couldn’t figure it out. Then I tried this: I selected her in Supervisor, then disabled one of the documents that she was supposed to see, but couldn’t, then I re-enabled it. I then had her refresh her list in Corporate Documents, and everything showed up. Has anyone else seen this?

I am not sure if you know this…however, any changes done to the “corporate list” will not reflect unless you choose to “refresh” it on the users webi screen. each user has his/her own “cached” list until they “refresh” it.

I think Sai’s hit the nail on the head. I bet that it wasn’t the report disabling/ renabling that you made in Supervisor that caused her list of Corporate Reports to change – it was just that she had a “stale” cached list of Corporate Reports. More than likely, if she had “refreshed” right after the Supervisor group change, she’d have seen the correct list of documents.
WebI 2.5 allows the user to change the defaults so that lists of documents are not cached, but are automatically refreshed (at least per documentation and discussions on this list group). However, recent postings warned about possible performance issues if report lists are automatically refreshed.
