Summing Within a Cross Tab

I’m having a problem summing totals within a cross-tab with breaks.

The cross-tab has two headline columns, the first is a database field but the second is a variable category calculated from a DaysBetween formula broken up into period categories.

The first summary column is fine, but the second, as can be seen from the screenshot, gives the (correct) grand total of the whole section when I would hope it would only show the totals of the relevant section.

I have tried every combination of IN, FOREACH, FORALL, IN BREAK, IN SECTION but none of these give the correct result.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi,

I understand that, for example 9769.80 is what you need to see only against Application Queried total and not against each of the # jobs.

If that is true then you need to display the distinguishing dimension that would show you the splits. In the sense there is a dimension based on which these sales values are split and you are not including that dimension so there is an aggregation caused at every line. If you include that dimension in the report display (hide it if you do not want to see ) you might see the individual values for each of the # jobs.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I’ve sorted the problem now - it was a universe problem after all.

I notice that you’ve said that I could hide a dimension if I didn’t want it to be seen. How would I do that?

Thanks
